Critical Reflection

Module Learning Leading up to this module I thought that my writing and presentation skills were sufficient enough to get me by in the real world. However, over the course of this module, I came to realize that my critical thinking and language skills have many weaknesses to improve on.   Through this module I have learned various writing skills such as creating a PEEL paragraph, APA 7 citation style, quoting and paraphrasing, and writing an informative tech report. Adding on I have also learned many interesting presentation techniques and pointers to take note of when giving a presentation to various types of audiences. Some examples would be to elevate my pitch by engaging the audience with some thinking questions, not to memorize a script but to understand and rephrase my words and understanding, and to create slides based on the target audience. I will further try to expand my writing and presentation skills by practicing more. This would include participating in more events that r

Self-assessment for class participation

 I believe I should be graded excellent. I know I was late for 2 classes. However, I always participate in class whenever possible by asking and answering questions. I am punctual with the submission of assignments, and I tend to initiate group convos with my team for many class tasks. Lastly, I believe I give 110% in-class activities.  This showcases my behavior and attitude towards learning in class and at the same time this module has helped me in improving my writing and speaking skills. Therefore, I believe i should be graded excellent for student participation.

Research project and tech report contribution

 I helped my group with the research on  issues raised with regard to integrating both fitness and everyday-use functions into the smartwatch I did a Google search to get some general background and understanding of the issues. I then use a chatbot (chatGPT) to help me summarise the points. I wrote the purpose statement for the Apple tech report after discussing key points with my group I gave some insights into the construction of the purpose statement Through the group discussion, I gave some constructive feedback on who could be our intended shareholder audience and why they would fit the profile. I did research on why having a smartwatch with both fitness and everyday-use functions is optimal. We did research on who might be interested in such a design via Google search and survey. Initial Research Pathway

My team came to the decision to engage in this topic because we have past experience working with drones in Polytechnic. The team did a general Google search for the components of the drones and we have agreed on the DJI Zenumse X7 Sensor. The DJI Zenmuse X7 Sensor is one of the latest sensors on the market and it has superseded its predecessors. The team used Google Scholar to search for the key features and characteristics of the DJI Zenmuse X7 Sensor. The team was able to gather up at least 4-5 articles relating to the topic using Google Scholar. The Team used ChatGPT to get an overview of the DJI Zenmuse X7 Sensor. We read journal articles and used information to synthesize for our summary.
